Pamela
Bauer-Mueller began her self-publishing career in 1999 with the
publication of her first book, The Bumpedy Road, a
children’s story told by a cat named Kiska. Pam went on to write
two more books in “The
Kiska Trilogy,” and then she branched out with
Hello, Goodbye, I Love You,
a true story about raising, training and then saying goodbye to
a guide dog named Aloha. Pam followed this book with Aloha
Crossing, the true story of Kimberly Louise, who
became Aloha’s owner and partner.When
Pam moved to Georgia, she was inspired to write
Neptune's Honor: A Story of Loyalty and Love
a story for young adults based on a true tale about a slave
named Neptune Small. Pam went on to write An Angry Drum
Echoed: Mary Musgrove, Queen of the Creeks, another book
based on the history of the American south, and she is now in
doing the final editing on a book that she will self-publish in
Fall, 2009.
Pam has
chosen to self-publish her books because self-publishing gives
her complete control over all aspects of publishing. She hires
professional editors, artists and designers to prepare her books
and, now that she has a solid following of readers, a
professional publicist. She also does a lot of her own publicity
by reading from her books in schools and libraries.
Pam’s books
have won numerous awards that include:
